Contractubex is a medicated gel used to treat and reduce the appearance of scars — whether they come from surgery, burns, acne, injuries, or cuts.
Active Ingredients:
- Heparin – softens scar tissue and improves blood flow.
- Allantoin – promotes skin regeneration and relieves itching or irritation.
- Onion extract (Extractum Cepae) – has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties; helps prevent abnormal scar formation.
Main Uses:
Contractubex is used to:
- Reduce the appearance of new and old scars.
- Improve skin flexibility in the scar area.
- Lighten scars and make them less visible.
- Prevent thick or raised scars (keloids or hypertrophic scars) after wounds or surgery.
How to Use:
- Apply the gel 2–3 times daily on the scar.
- Gently massage until fully absorbed.
- For new scars: start using only after the wound is completely closed (no open skin).
- For old scars: use consistently for at least 3 months for visible improvement.
Warnings & Precautions:
- Do not apply on open or inflamed wounds.
- Mild redness or itching may occur at first — this is usually temporary.
- Avoid direct sunlight on the treated area to prevent pigmentation.
